Joe's Place hosts pizza making classes for our local elementary schools where we teach the kids about the history and science of pizza, as well as how to make it. There is no charge for this program and it takes place at our Lee Highway location in Arlington.
School groups can schedule these events on Monday mornings from 9:30 to 11:00 am.
Upon arrival at Joe’s Place, the students will watch a short presentation about making pizza and have a chance to practice some of their new skills! Besides learning the pizza-making process, the class will also learn the chemistry behind the perfect pizza dough and the origins of the most popular food in the world. Students come to the pizza making station in small groups, so everyone gets a turn.
After they experience the art of making pizza, Joe's Place will provide lunch, which of course is our delicious pizza!
Joe's Place is proud to support our students and schools, share our Italian heritage and be a part of our great community.
